Softvision Agenda is able to send two types of email messages: automated messages (e.g., welcome messages, appointment reminders, etc.) and
marketing emails.
The first type is sent via Softvision Agenda's own mail server (SMTP), while sending marketing emails requires specifying one or more external SMTP servers.
For this type of sending, Softvision Agenda will attempt to use all available SMTP servers in rotation, in order to distribute the load and avoid potential limits set by providers.
Since SMTP services (especially those connected to free mailboxes) may only work with their own provider's connections, or may have strict limits on the number of messages sent, it may be necessary to use other SMTP service providers. A search online shows several options; as an example, we have successfully tested the free TurboSMTP service, which offers 200 messages per day for one month.
Registration is available at TurboSMTP Registration and below are the configuration parameters:
Please note that for correct configuration of your SMTP server, it is essential to also configure the DKIM, SPF, and DMARC services.
